The Community Pulse Foundation is a non-profit based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, dedicated to connection, inclusion and belonging among newcomers, families, youth and long-term residents.
WianTribe designed and developed the Foundation's website and the systems behind it: a content manager for the team, a guided Get Involved journey and a private dashboard for following up with everyone who reaches out.
The challenge
A young organization with many audiences.
A new non-profit needs a credible, welcoming presence: somewhere to explain its mission and programs, invite people to volunteer or give, and speak to English- and French-speaking communities alike.
Just as important, the team needed to keep content current and respond to every volunteer and enquiry — without relying on a developer for each change or losing track of the people who got in touch.
Our approach
Warm on the surface, dependable underneath.
The public site leads with the Foundation's purpose, photography from its own outreach and clear ways to take part. Behind it, every submission is saved securely first, so a problem sending email can never cost the Foundation a volunteer.
Bilingual by default
Pages, programs and events support English and French, falling back to English when a translation isn't ready yet.
Editable by the team
Programs, events, team members, pages and key site text are managed through a private site manager — no code and no redeploy.
Honest journeys
The donation route records a supporter's intent and confirms funds once they arrive, rather than thanking people before they have given.

Key capabilities
Built for the people it serves.
- 01
Bilingual experience
A one-click English and French switcher across the site, with bilingual fields for all managed content.
- 02
Programs, events and team
Community programs, past outreach, upcoming events and team profiles, presented clearly and kept current by the Foundation.
- 03
Get Involved journey
One guided form for volunteering, item donations, financial support and questions, with consent captured along the way.
- 04
Volunteer and enquiry CRM
A private dashboard for volunteers, enquiries and events, with notes, assignments, attendance and CSV export.
- 05
Reliable communications
Acknowledgement and notification emails are logged, so any message that fails to send is visible and can be retried.
- 06
Search-ready foundations
Structured organization data, social previews, a sitemap and a canonical domain help people find the Foundation.
Engineering
A serverless back office.
A lightweight public site, with dependable systems quietly doing the work behind it.
- 01
Functions and a database at the edge
Cloudflare Pages Functions handle submissions and the CRM, backed by Cloudflare D1 — with a separate database for preview deployments, so testing never touches real volunteer records.
- 02
Protected public forms
Cloudflare Turnstile filters automated spam, and per-address rate limiting keeps submission endpoints from being overwhelmed.
- 03
Save first, then send
Records are written before any email is attempted, so a mail outage never rejects a valid application.
- 04
Fast, accessible pages
Hand-built HTML, CSS and JavaScript with a skip link, semantic structure and layouts that adapt from phone to desktop.
